By donating the largest number of shoes in 24 hours, San Diego and Los Angeles Chapters of the Youth Philanthropy Council (YPC), led by Augustus Holm and Jacob Chow, and Jellypop broke a Guinness World Record to support underserved women and children.

San Diego, December 7th, 2024 – Making holiday giving more impactful than ever, Pasadena-based Evolution Design Lab (EDL) and their female-founded, in-house footwear brand Jellypop have joined forces with the Los Angeles Chapter of the Youth Philanthropy Council (YPC), led by Jacob Chow and Augustus Holm for their third annual St. Nick’s Kicks event. Jacob Chow, founder and leader of the LA Chapter of YPC and a driving force behind the organization’s initiatives, helped to spearhead this youth-led event to achieve a groundbreaking donation of over 21,000 shoes, $1.1 million in total value, for marginalized communities across the nation.

“No one has managed a youth-led donation event of this scope before, spanning city permits and thousands of recipients in the nation’s busiest cities. Our aim is to create an inspiring and meaningful experience for our youth volunteers, while spotlighting the power of youth-led philanthropy,” says YPC Founder Augustus Holm.

“At Jellypop, accessibility for women and children is core to our mission, and YPC’s vision resonated deeply with us. Through our 22,000 shoe donation, we are thrilled to support young leaders like Augustus and Jacob who drive community change,” says Jennet Chow, Founder and Co-CEO of Jellypop.
